Of course… a day after I start fiddling with the code and layout. Go figure. Anyway, yay for the new version which might be the final release candidate if all goes well.

Now here’s a little puzzle which has been keeping me up late.

Better late then never, or oh no, not the demon spawn from hell. You decide. Either way, I’ve always been interested in the MySpace phenomenon, and especially curious as to why it’s so ungodly popular. So… the proof of the pudding is in the eating, let’s see how this works and if I’ll get any friends… hint hint.
Yahoo pipes, it’s amazing, a web service I like. I started playing with this because I couldn’t find a decent selfhosted script which would allow me to merge several rss feeds into one new feed. Within a couple of minutes of figuring it out I had exactly what I wanted; a new feed which grabs several rss feeds and outputs a feed with the newest 10 items.
No idea why I never thought of this before, but seeing as the anime avatar creator is still one of the most popular features here on the site it finally dawned on me a while back that it might be a good idea to do the same for FF, our other always popular section. So here we go, the Final Fantasy avatar creator.

I guess it was inevitable… some day, for some reason, I wouldn’t be able to escape it any longer. This day has come.
Seeing as at work we always make fun of our interns for playing World of WarCraft (it’s all about levelling, there’s no story, that’s no real rpg) one of them (Mr. Teapot on the forum) decided to be a smartass and gave us 14 day trial versions as a parting gift at the end of his internship. So next week or the one after that I’ll have to install it and give it a try.
But I will not give in to the dark side.
