Post Views & List category posts

2 plugins have been added to the blogs and activated for all; WP-Postviews and List Category Posts.
The first counts hits per post so you can see which posts are popular (or not).
List Category Posts does exactly what is says, by using a shortcode tag you can have a list of all posts in a certain category be displayed automatically, instead of of having to edit it by hand.

Massive upgrade

The member blogs have been upgraded and have gone from WordPress MU 2.9.1 to the main WordPress branch, version 3.2.1.
If you come across any errors please let me know. That means you Johnny. :p
There’s so much new I can’t even begin to mention it all, do note that most of our themes are old (and then some) so if you want to see all the new goodies you’ll have to switch to one of the new themes, like Twenty Eleven or Twenty Ten!

I’ve updated the blogs to version 2.8.2 of WordPress MU a while back. Haven’t heard any complaints so I’m guessing all went well. :D

WordPress MU 2.7.1

The blogs have been upgraded today to WP MU 2.7.1, look here for a list of changes. Everything seems to have gone smoothly and ready for the imminent release of BuddyPress 1.0 which will bring a whole new batch of options and settings to transform the blogs into a ‘social network platform’. Superlatives aside it does look like fun.

to WordPress MU 2.6.1. Furthermore I’ve now moved Akismet from mu-plugins to plugins, that might solve the problem with it sucking at spam collection. Also the video plugin we used hadn’t been updated in years, so I’ve ditched that in favor of Viper’s Video Quicktags, which not only works better, it’s a lot more user friendly.
