Since my skills are limited to mothering, wifing (what does a wife do these days?) cleaning, cooking and photoshopping, I’ve decided to enter more graphic design competitions in hopes of getting my measly work noticed/used. More importantly paid for. I want to help kill the debt. So I whore my graphic skills.
That’s just it though. I can only whore my graphic skills because I can’t make a website for a nice portfolio. >.<

You’re damn good, and should have a portfolio.. And perhaps maybe somewhere on the site some pages where you share how you do certain things and effects~ ^^ Just an idea, i suck a writing tutorials and can only show people irl how to do something. I’m always on msn and have random sleep patters but if you need help poke me when ever xD I’ll help!

You’re amazing! With photoshop and as a helper. I didn’t want to ask because I know you’re busy with your own life. I really have trouble asking people because I guess I’m afraid of being let down (i.e. them not really wanting to help in the end). Today I will work on the portfolio images and then when I’m finished I’ll show you to see what you think.
The tutorial idea is good. I think it will show how easy peasy the stuff I do is. Heh. I will work hard and do my best! ^_^

Pentool is a *****. -_- But I’ve somewhat gotten the hang of it. What did you need help in photoshop wise? Like a design, logo, banner something whatever?

Oh yes, I am taking a break right now from ps-ing about for today. I’ve been looking at professional nice looking portfolios online and there is so much to choose from. O.O Any ideas of what it should look like?

It’s more a kind of general help. Normally I would manage creating things
I just think I can make even better things if I get the hang of certain tools, that’s all 
Ow, what it should look like? I think that depens on what kind of signal you want to sent out. Do you want it clean and neat or do you want it festive, professional or something else?…decisions, decisions
And based on that you can decide which colortheme you want to use, for instance. Or if there have to be ornaments or not. Etc..

o.o The dreaded pentool of doom. I only know how to use it to help cut out perfect ‘renders’ and do vector artwork.. Pentools become godly easy when you have a tablet. I have a Wacom III Intruos… I’m working on asking the company for a bigger and better one that has a screen i can look down on and draw.. They said they’d get me anything i needed.. but feel bad for asking for more expensive things…
Id say choose something that’s you! :3 Like i would instantly choose a slick design that had details of red and black that has an edgey feel to it cause thats just me! x3;

I need a tablet. A prezzie to ask for from X for my birthday maybe? I thought he said he had one at one time or another. Ah well, I would love to work with one and perhaps it could make things easier for me.
Choose something that is me. *ponders* Ehhhm.. what am I? I just know I want it simple, sleek and sexy. That would be more than enough. I want the portfolio to be a reflection of what I can do. It’s odd when I look at other’s portfolios and see that they’ve already done some pretty popular business. Should I just show examples of what I can do?
The stuff you do it pretty sexy, gg! I should be asking for some tutorials from you.

Yea show examples of what you can do and what you have done, even if it was for yourself or for contests. Show them what you got! I think setting up a deviantart account would do nice as a portfolio or a place to show off works. Since you can upload your art directly to there and then just link people to your profile.
Mines http://animekaos.deviantart.com/ i’ve been cleaning out crappy works.. But then again i would not have my mom looking at this, this is more for my friends to see and show off some stuff that i am capable of.. o.O So perhaps start an account there and see how you like it for a show off gallery and then do a portfolio thats professional and display your bests.
Or something i dunno.. I just know i need a Death Note right now! I has some names to write down… *been watching DN movies 1&2*
