Armani Competition Results

I am sure most of the older ‘fans’ of my blog remember the Armani competition I entered in March this year. Fortunately, I had over 26000+ votes that pushed me to be ‘The National Winner’ of visual print in the category of other countries. For my reward I won a set of ‘his’ and ‘her’ expensive Emporio Armani watches as well as six sets of perfumes. I’ve thanked you all once before and I want to thank you all once again.

^ This the ‘her’ watch I won. I suppose my only question is ‘What do I do with it?’. It’s lovely but I really don’t think I’m ever going to wear it. I haven’t since I got it and I planned on selling it on ebay or whatever else. Hmm… Any suggestions?

New Theme

Though I do like my old header with colours last this is quite spiffy too. Be sure to check out the other blog themes! What do you think of this one?

My Blog Graveyard

I suppose it comes with the recent less activity and resentment of not posting on others blogs. Anywho, I have been experimenting with the Digg settings and getting people to come over to my blog to check it out.

I’ve recently gotten some blood tests done because of recent fatigue, weight and hair loss. I get the results by next Tuesday. In other news, I will be seeing The Dark Knight with Corvo and his partner next Friday! A bit late, I know, but I can still be excited! I’m so totally going to chow down on sweets and pop!

Girl Rejected From Tennis Match For ‘Cheating’

To be quite honest, I don’t know what the fuss is about. She’s a very young girl and it’s not as if her father’s words empower her to have the abundant strength of Anna Kournikova. The girl’s moves and strength comes from within and what she does and how she uses it has nothing to do with her father suggesting a backhand.

Any thoughts?

Waikiki & American Stupidity

Waikiki truly is a place in Hawaii! Alas we find the answer and X and Corvo were right last night. Damn it. Twas a very good guess, X and Corvo. :P

However, I don’t think my unawareness of such a small place in such a small state has anything to do with American stupidity. In all fairness the Netherlands is such a tiny country and yet most won’t be able to name all the nearby villages or pin point on a map where such and such a place is or even if it exists.

*takes a bow* So shove it.xD

Niet roken, please!

Hulk smash! GRAAAAAAAAAwwwRRR!

What should one do when one goes to a party with a baby then everyone starts smoking around the baby without giving a thought to go outside or to another room to smoke? Especially when that one was promised beforehand that people would go outside to smoke?

-_-

“Do You Think She’s Pretty?”

Ultimately one the of most hated questions you could ask a man, especially your partner. Any question that involves a ‘damned if I do, damned if I don’t’ scenario, a man will be more than hesitant to reply. Knowing he can’t evade the question without making you throw a hissy fit, he narrows his options to:

a) No (Then she’s pissed because she knows you lied and begins to jump to conclusions that you were having naughty thoughts of her.)

b) Yes (You receive a flabbergasted stare then you’re sniped down by the game of ‘Let’s ask a million questions about what was pretty about her?)

c) Not this again, honey… (Insert finger wag and then a bitch slapdownfest of why she thought the girl was too tarty, slutty or skanky and adds ‘ You know what I mean?’ at the end of every sentence. And you better nod your head or you’ll be sleeping on the couch)

d) Change the subject politely (She ‘innocently’ plays along with what you want to talk about then sneaks in the same question again when you least expect it)

or e) Will you marry me? (Nothing throws off a girl faster)

What would your option be?

From one woman to another: DON’T ASK THE QUESTION AT ALL! Of course he thought she was pretty. That’s why his head turned, even if it was done discreetly. It’s in a man’s DNA to turn his head to a pretty woman. Just be satisfied knowing that you’ve turned many heads yourself.

Pregnant Again

Hell no, not me. But Ms. Jolie seems to have a hellagood time with it. She has the money and time for it. She loves her kids and her man and I believe her eyes give away that she’s a great mum. Congrats again!

Eat Your Heart Out, CSI Fans… Dexter Is On The Loose

I will cut to the chase… CSI sucks. Dexter FTW! (NCIS ftw too but that’s going to be in another blog)

I found this article interesting. The Parents Television Council is boycotting Dexter because it’s strong gore and mild sexual nature content. I find their website absolutely fascinating.

The Parents Television Council™ (www.parentstv.org®) is a non-partisan education organization advocating responsible entertainment. It was founded in 1995 to ensure that children are not constantly assaulted by sex, violence and profanity on television and in other media.

Children assaulted by sex, violence and profanity… -_- Bloody hell, the beginning credits are a good 45 seconds long. You have enough time to change the channel!

I’ve watched Dexter up until Season 2 Episode 6 and then I stopped because I felt the content wasn’t appropriate to watch with my newborn daughter around. I want a clean and zen environment for her, naturally. I won’t let my daughter be in the room if I decide to watch Dexter again.

However, that’s just it. It’s up to me, as a parent, to turn the channel or just not watch it. I find it aggravating when gungho zealots have to ruin it for all those mature and responsible enough to watch a show with graphic nature by pulling advertisements. It’s not the television’s fault that the ratings were astronomical enough to put it on a standard television station. In theory, the content of one of television’s most watched shows, CSI, is much worse.

In Dexter, you don’t see ‘CSI patented cool cinematic effects’ a baby dying in a car from heat exhaustion because the parents can’t be arsed to pay for their sick child’s hospital bills. Instead, you see a man crippled by the urge to kill people that actually do such atrocious things. Why hasn’t their been a boycott for CSI in the past 7 - 8 years? Their material has not only become more far-fetched but more disturbing than a man that kills those who kill.

So.. how is the world today?

Alzheimer’s & Destruction

How painful I imagine it would be to love for many years then being made to feel like you’re nothing to the one you loved in the end. In films and books, it’s so wonderful and uplifting to hear of those who stay with that person to the end. I think ‘Wow, this person really does love the other. I hope I would be the same exact way if something like that happened.’ But I imagine actually going through it instead of dreaming it is something completely different. How horrible it would be to be accused by your partner of sleeping with someone behind their back. How devastated and miserable that would make you feel. Even more painful because their tenacity in believing it no matter what you say. Perhaps even being argued with all the time for no reason. The person you loved for the longest time and had such great memories with hating you to the core for things you never fathomed doing before. But it doesn’t matter because their mental state of being is persistently telling them that you’re no good.

Then after a while, you begin to believe yourself to be that horrible person and even contemplate doing something to make yourself feel better. Even if it meant finding security in someone else’s arms for a night.

So for everyone that reads this: Honestly think about this and decide where you would draw the line. When would their banter be enough?
