I Am Woman

Give Me Some Love

Cause of Illness?

During my last pregnancy in the third trimester with Evie, I developed hypertension. My blood pressure stayed an average 130/85 and varied a little lower to a lot higher. Fearing that it might be the starting signs of preeclampsia, which I had in my previous pregnancy, my doctor observed me closely for a couple of months and even put me on a beta-blocker called Labatalol. Labatalol was a real pain because it made me feel and act like a depressed zombie most of the time.

So 6 weeks postpartum, before we came back to the Netherlands, the doctor finally pulled me off the Labatalol because my blood pressure reduced significantly. Our flight was a couple days after that and as soon as I got on the plane to Schipol, my stomach, my head and my vision just went to crap. I became extremely sick on the plane ride back and I couldn’t quite understand why. I read this article and it suddenly made sense. Thank goodness for the BBC, neh?

Anyone else ever get ill on planes?

Went to Newcastle today… meet me sister-in-law’s boyfriend. What a gazook. (That’s mean’s nice in a weird way)

Also went to see my grandparent-in-laws (is that how you say it?). I LOVE being called ‘pet’ by them. I also like how my grandmother-in-law (we’ll call her GIL to keep it short and cool) adores and loves me. My grandfather-in-law as well…. (we’ll call him JACK… like JACK AND GIL! HAHAHHAHA.. meh) he gave me his left over ulcer medicine so I don’t have to be arsed to go out and buy some. (He’s so nice. ^_^) My husband’s doing well. We’re still recovering from the jetlag of that 40 mile trip. :P

And I found something out XIII, you’re not creepy.. it’s…

Nah, still don’t have it. ;)
