I'm looking forward to it. And two posts per week is quite much actually - you shouldn't put too much pressure on yourself there, imho.

I had to have a kind of "calming moment/place" type thing for after my EMDR from the uni councilors. (eye movement desensitization...something. I think it works by that having left to right eye movement or tapping distracts you somewhat and allows you to say stuff you'd usually not say or pay attention to. If it's a particularly sensitive topic, there calming place is supposed to stop you from moping about it after the session.)
I chose a beach with no people on it (and no drat damn seagulls =P) and just feeling like there's all the time in the world to just laze rather than having all goals and targets and so on.

Anyway, can't remember if I've asked you before, is Toonboom any good for you? It's similar to flash for drawing, but without action scripts and so on because it's entirely for animation, not games. Also, you have a kind of fake 3D effect, where you can place objects in different distances from the 'camera' so if you have a camera pan, they'll all go at the right speed and such.

Also, having your own apartment together sounds awesome. You'll naturally end up having more conflict because you're with each other a lot more, but then, said being with each other a lot more makes up for that. Good luck!

You have a keen eye Johnny, it is indeed a Tomato plant, we have two of them, along with two strawberry plants.

The calming moment sounds brilliant! =]

X: I agree Flash is a pain in the arse, but It's my tool of choice sadly because it runs on my laptop without giving it a seizure.

That was a nice read, thanks for the insights and thoughts. As for a cheesy musical, you could use puppets that sing - like in the movie 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' or whatever it was called exactly. I definitely liked the idea ^^

My perfect calming moment btw., would be to lie on a sunny spot of grass on a hill, surrounded by mountains and hearing the sounds of a river floating by a few ten meters or so - imagine it to be quite peaceful.

Oh and on your last picture - is that plant in the middle a tomato? I know we have one on our balcony too and this looks similar ^^

Good post, nice summery feel with the pics and all. It's always fun to see where people live, their surroundings. I had a look at Flash myself recently, first time in about oh... 10 or 12 years or so. It's amazing how it's gone through so many changes and is still exactly the same pain in the ass to use, I still loathe it.

What shame? Lego is AWESOME. In fact, using Lego as stop motion is ten times more awesome than shite 2D animation that only barely moves the mouth like that new Life and Times of Tim or whathaveyou show on Virgin.

I'm scared of sharing my ideas in case someone steals them. Then again, big film companies steal indie work ideas once they're published the same way big software companies steal open source code, so even once you've made it you're not safe. Blah.
