Kamo-gawa river

The Kamo-gawa river crosses Kyoto from North to South and acts as a natural break between the tighly arranged houses and creates some open space. Further to the South it also separates the newer parts of the city from the traditional areas, mostly around the Gion district. And last but not least, it is a nice place to go for a walk and calm your mind from all the impressions one is likely to get in this city.
