Despite the snow, the weather was mostly really sunny and all the temples and shrines looked really beautiful under these conditions. This is the Chishaku-in Temple, which was moved to Kyoto from Wakayama in late 16th century and is the main holy site of the Chizan School, part of the big buddhist Shingon Sect.
