Some Music

Howdy again, friends! 🙂 On last week’s Wednesday, I went to a small concert on the campus together with Masako an Josef. It was organised from the faculty of music from Hiroshima University, who wanted to show some classical japanese songs and singing to foreigners. So we met there in a small concert hall (which had a really nice sound!) and started to sing some japanese folk songs with the professor, which was extremely difficult for me, as I can’t even read notes and my voice sucks for singing (except Karaoke :P). Nevertheless, it was really interesting, as the professor as well as the tw students who accompanied him were very good singers and piano players and it was extremely impressive to see what a huge voice can come out of small japanese singers ^^

Just look at the following picture:

The girl right next to me is Yuri, who was singing the female voice – really, really amazing! But just listen for yourself 😉 I recorded most of the songs, sou you can listen to them on youtube. In the beginning, there are a lot of explanations about the songs, which are very hard to understand, because of the recording. So you can skip a bit ahead usually (at least in all the longer videos). And I purposefully made no images, so you can focus on the listening part. I hope you will enjoy! 🙂
