April – Easter

I know, you may wonder about the obvious deviation between the month mentioned in the headline and the actual date of this article, but there is some reason, believe me! Some time in April, when I was asking for propositions for my question of the month, one of the questions was “How does a German celebrate Easter in Japan?” by the mysterious flatmate. Now I know the actual answer and it’s “Twice” :D

The reason is that today finally my parent’s easter package arrived, after having been lost in the void of post traffic for nearly two months and it was filled with food and sweets from Germany! Therefor I announce today to be my second Easter celebration and can declare this question as answered ^^

Otou-san!!!

My mobile phone company loves me. Seriously. They love me so much that – despite of me running to their shop every week and annoying them with another question from a foreigner – they finally sent me my super-sugoi Otou-san bathrobe set. Now I should add, that Otou-san is the company’s mascot and comes as a cute looking white dog that seems to be so popular, that according to my mobile company clerk, the same set, which I got for free is usually sold for over 100€ on ebay (of course they’re impartial and wouldn’t lie about that, right?). So, with this amazing bathrobe set I actually got an Otou-san bathrobe, an Otou-san towel and an Otou-san bath mat, which will definitely upgrade my lifestyle significantly! :o

And because of this super-sugoiness, you need to see them too! Disclaimer: do not look further down, if you’re afraid of hot guys wearing a little bit girly looking bath robes. It might harm you significantly and I hereby warned you ;)

I’ll fly!

It’s settled – I’ll fly to Japan on Wednesday next week. Despite the ongoing problems in the nuclear power plant in Fukushima, the nuclear shitstorm (I like that word… somehow) still hasn’t reached Hiroshima or western Japan in any dangerous fashion and therefore the University of Hamburg and the german embassy don’t uphold any travel prohibitions for those regions. So I postponed my flight for a week and have a big load of preparations to do now. My room hasn’t been so chaotic for a loooong time…

Anyway – that means everything is back to normal again, so let’s get going! :)
