Busy Busy. And chalk.

Portrait is going… er… well… nevermind. Should I ever take a photo and upload it (if I can get my camera working, which died when I left it on charge too long and I haven’t got a new battery yet) I warn you that my nose is not flat, and my mouth is actually about half an inch to the side of where it is in that painting.

Between waiting for layers of paint to dry, I’ve been having a look at Flash. When I first got it I was completely lost - basically on the part where, if I’m animating characters and have to use shapes, how can I get them to turn around, move properly, etc. Now I’m drawing frame by frame instead, and it’s going better. My portfolio was lacking in animation (completely, since the moment I discovered that actually, our teacher lied and there was no animation on the media course, I dropped it.) and I think I only just got in… dunno, maybe if I don’t get the grade in art I can have a talk with them.

On a side note, I thought I’d express my outrage at the water. The chalk water. Now here’s hoping I can upload an image properly:

First: Clear water. That you can see my lovely blue carpet through.

Second: The water coming out of our taps.

It also tastes rather foul. And makes juice rather foul. And the water from the filter is also tasting rather foul, despite the fact I’ve just spent ages cleaning the thing and replacing the filter. Bah.

Well I’m sure chalk is full of… erm… … calcium? It’s not as if there’s stuff… crawling in it or something.

That animation is taking me years :P I just keep thinking of all the Bitey Castle animations and being insanely jealous, though I think the animator has actually had an animation education.
