Let me brush your head!

The dog’s hair is getting rediculous. Surely she can’t see through that!

…Then again, emo’s do the same and they still manage I suppose =P

But yeah, she won’t let me get near her head to brush/comb even move it out of the way (I’d be too worried to get the scissors if she moves)

Other news: Watched the first half of the Elfen Lied series (until I got to the point there were no more on YouTube) …it’s very… adult. It’s like a social realist anime (considering I haven’t watched that much I’m not sure what the standard is). Nudity, violence, gore (I would imagine would create a lot of controversy in this country, considering people think “Cartoons! Children!” ) though I’m in some thoughtly debate as to whether things like peadophilia (sp) are there TO deal with the issues, or to make you feel sorry for the character (which I’m quite sick of in TV. I’ve seen TV programs where I swear it’s not a case of bringing up the issues of rape, they just stick it in because “it makes out baddie look badder.” or “makes you pity this character” Ach. )

The music is pretty, but it’s just the same melody used over and over again slower or quieter, which somewhat annoys me because you’re sick of the song by the end of it (Kinda like Final Fantasy 8 )

It’s strange. There’s so much bad stuff that happens to all the characters and then some kids kill a puppy and thats the thing that gets to me most O.O (The end of episode… 5? 6? was missing, and I have a feeling there was something awful happening there too) I guess with everything else it’s implied - You see the adult telling the girl what to do (in the paedophilic case) but you don’t see anything happen (which I’m glad of). The way the puppy is shown, you have a table in the way, and a boy’s arm with a bloody vase, and a poor helpless puppy whining (even though you don’t see anything)

Yet at the same time, I’ve seen (part of) the start of Clockwork Orange (our film teacher was either getting slightly distressed himself, or didn’t want us to get upset by parts, so fastforwarded some of the scenes) and the beating of the old homeless man didn’t get to me half as much as that damn puppy.

Though, I guess the anime used techniques to make you empathise with the character (they kill the puppy to get to her) while in Clockwork Orange you are meant to see the thing from the main character’s view, since his voice over is ‘justifying’ it.

Anyway, been feeling in a strange mood… like I’m restless/depressed (not clinically) for no apparent reason. I guess I’ve been stuck doing nothing for a while since I’m so skint and it’s winding me up that I’m getting 3 texts a day “LETSGOOUTSOMEWHERETOSPENDMONEY!” when I’m saving my credit to organise this accommadation thing. And jobs are just leading to dead ends, which didn’t really bother me before because I knew I’d be moving and would have to quit anyway, but now it does. I’ve tried drawing and stuff, but I haven’t got the inspiration for it.

This morning I got news from the SLC - I’m getting my loan and stuff on time, which is good, and even £300 income assed O.O (I don’t understand how that works, but it’s a good thing I guess) I’m going to have to borrow off parents for a deposit though -_-’ the money doesn’t come in til our first week.
