Mog and Chips

Got an A in film studies, a B in psychology, and a C in art.  So I’m definitely in a Surrey.

…I just have 3 weeks to find a place to live.

I’m looking forward to it slightly more now. It’s like, in three weeks I won’t even be here anymore… it’s strange.

My 2 mates didn’t get in though >.<

Art let both of them down. And it pisses me off because the art teacher who marks the damn thing didn’t give them any indication whatsoever that they were going down the wrong path. The both worked enough for it - chances are they’ve been marked of because it’s unbalanced or something’s irrelevent: which the teacher should have told them.

It sounds bratty, blaming the teacher, but its her job. Not taking us by the hand through it, but telling you “by the way, you might need more art history for this project”

It’s unfair, because my mate going to glasgow got 2 As and a D in art… Art isn’t even relevent to english, and it’s the same number of points, but that university “doesn’t work on a points system, sorry, goodbye”

They’re both upset (obviously) and don’t actually like their insurance offers… I hope they’ll find a good place through clearing that they enjoy (they refuse to take an extra year)

And for fucks sake. If I was crying over my results, I wouldn’t appreciate a teacher interupting my friend that was trying to make me feel better, with a “oh you did well didn’t you!”. So don’t bloody do it.

Otherwise… it’s strange, I know I should appreciate my results, but it’s just like “cool… on with life now.” I was prepared to take a year out to retake so I wasn’t even mildly worried when going to collect them… but I thought I’d be happier if I did O.o

Part of my art was a B in my critical study though *proudness* …I hope I can get that back O.o (It ended up rounding down, since 4 Cs and 2 Bs)

And my film got me an A… that I’m proud of too, though the teach said that I’d get an A when I handed it in so I guess I knew already.

Those are really the only things I was bothered about… exams are hit and miss, and the other coursework didn’t interest me… these two things where I tried really hard and but hours more into than any other coursework, I’d be disappointed if I got anything less.

Also Mam hasn’t killed me over my C. Which I’m glad about.

She’s nagging me for college accomodation though… and actually I’d rather go private =P If I can get nearer the station, and share an internet connection, kinda thing.
