Fwuffy Boots

Mahaha. I got my discount card today, and bought myself some “Ug boots” (v. popular right now apparently, but generally worn in stupid ways by the general public to make them resemble a fuzzy booted jockey). Which are suede-y boots that usually have ridiculous amounts of fake fur over the top, but these ones are just fake-fur lined (so soft and squishy!) and fit under my jeans anyway, so all you’ll see is a swede boot-foot. We shall find out how they last on a 4 or 6 hour shift on saturday. (And I will be able to advise on practical bootness, Humane :P)

Also Skillset (an awarding body sponsering our course) has us doing stupidly detailed storyboards - before action, mid action, after action (say, walking in a straight line, and another 2 if turning a corner since that’s 2 actions), if not even more detailed than that, ie 3 frames per second whether there’s any action or not, which is utterly pointless. Demonstrating your timing is meant to occur in your presentation animatic, not your storyboard. Our year 2 tutors pretty much said “Well, we work in the industry, and that’s not how it works.”

And typing the opposite of > makes an “open bracket” of sorts to coding I’m guessing, which is why we can’t type the ‘wince’ face (>.#) without losing whatever we’ve typed after it?

Anyway.

I’m now working 12 hours a week, and earning (this stupid keyboard isn’t set to be English yet so I don’t have a GBP sign, Paulus! ) 68 Great British Pounds a week, without tax which I shouldn’t be paying anyway. Which is good.

Apart from November. Specifically, the 17th (Mine and Paul’s third year anniversary thingy), the 18th (Mine and my Dad’s (in Brighton) birthdays), the 19th (Somewhat distant friend’s bday, in Brighton) and the 20th (Best friends bday, in Brighton).

I can’t get the 17th off. Apparently because we’re having a refit at the store, she can’t spare anyone.

If I find there’s only 3 people working that day, I will go spare. So very spare. Depending on how outgoing I feel to ’discussing’ at my boss :P

Also I’ve been putting off college work unofficially (as in, your grade, your loss, rather than yellage) due in for tomorrow. And then realised it was 11pm. And then procrastinated until midnight. Oops.

Oh and for some reason my computer decided that now it’s been parted from its ethernet cable, it’s never going to talk to it again. Literally. It’s refusing to connect directly to the modem even, when before Paul took it out to test his worked with the net, it was working just fine through the router (which it also now won’t do. Gah.) And run>ipconfig shuts off too soon to do anything. Though I haven’t tried through run>cmd, which I must do next time.
