I hate Mondays when I’m working and I still hate them right now.

I couldn’t get to sleep at all last night so at 12.30 myself and Garr went on FFXI to camp some Notorious Monster. The website Garr got the information off said that the NM spawned every hour so we waited… and it did spawn but Garr missed it (I was elsewhere in the area at the time) so we wait again… and wait and wait and wait… Then we find out from another website that it’s actually a 1-3 hour spawn. Joy. So we hang around a bit longer hoping that it would spawn any time (it was 4am at this point) and just as we decided to leave it the bugger spawned! Garr managed to get it but we didn’t get the Monster Signa staff that we were hoping for… we did get some Zealots Mitts though (not worth that much) but thanks to Garr being an idiot we lost them. So, 3 hours to achieve nothing. Whooo! I ended up going to Aht Urhgan to take part in the Besieged that was brewing… it took me a good 30 minutes to get there and again I had to wait and wait and wait… In the end I decided to logoff at about 6am but after a while laid in bed I decided that there was no chance I could get any sleep at this point so I turned the laptop back on. After 10 minutes (the enemy was still ‘preparing’ ) I decided to hoof it over to the Auction House to see if I could buy any materials for some crafting while I waited. Just before I got to the Auction House room the message that the ‘Undead Swarm’ was making its way towards the city popped up and so I ran all the way back… and waited… and waited… -.- Ok, you see the point. Lots of useless waiting. After about 15 minutes with the enemy “Advancing” they finally breached the city and attacked. First time I’ve witnessed an Undead attack ~ snake women and things.

I nearly died in the first couple of minutes! I had just cast the usual buffs (Protect etc) and was resting to restore my MP when a ghost came and slapped me a couple of times. So I bravely ran away! If it had hit me again I would have died since it had already hit me for 40o-odd points of damage (I only have 660 dammit!) So I went and hid behind a Galka and healed up and got running again. White Mages are pretty much useless when it comes to doing any sort of damage in Besieged. I cast Holy on something and it did 2 points of damage (where usually it could do about 100-250 points worth). So basically I just ran around and spammed Cure 3 and 4 at random people and did the occasional Raise. I helped out with about 4 enemies before everyone charged onto the ‘main’ boss “Medusa”… I died pretty much straight away in an AOE spell -.- So I laid there for a while with my arse up in the air before someone cast Raise on me and once again I ran away bravely ^^ I waited until the ‘weakened’ status had gone so I could recover my full HP/MP and ran back in to start curing again (and use Stona since everyone seemed to be getting petrified… obviously). Eventually they withdrew and we won! Hurrah! I got about 580 exp so… not bad for just running around for 20 minutes. I was most amused at a spell/ability that the Lamia were using though. I can’t remember what it was called but it literally stripped you naked.

Ok, what else apart from boring FFXI… I finally have an interview for a job lined up for Wednesday. So I’m quite looking forward to that. It’s a 20 hours a week admin job, but I really don’t mind working part-time especially when the job is in my town too (about a 20 minute walk away). So I’ll go to that Wednesday morning and grace them with my vast knowledge of, uh, admin work. Yay me. The stress has come again though about the pink hair! Garr dyed it for me again yesterday so it’s still a little bright… I hope they don’t mind it otherwise it’ll either decrease my chances of getting the job or I’ll have to dye it again…

I’m going to be taking some photos of some of my gothic clothes that I’ve got and hardly ever worn so I can list them on eBay and see if I can get any money back on them. Hopefully the sites where I commissioned them are still running so I can check out the clothing descriptions on there (I have no clue about material and such). I spent a lot of money on them so I doubt I’ll break even on them or make a little profit. But I’d be much happier seeing them being used by another sexy lady rather than being hung in my wardrobe for another year.

I also need to get on with the calendar I said I’d make for Garr. It was originally going to be a Christmas present but I didn’t get it done in time so now I’m hoping to get it done for Valentine’s day instead *crosses fingers* I’ve done January - July so I need another 6 months yet. The majority of them are drawn and so far only one is something I made (using images from the ‘net) on Photoshop, but I might have to do more of that so I’m not stressing out over getting drawings done.
