Making some progress

At the weekend the brother came back and took more items with him. We painted the brown wall white and then bright pink. Oh yesssssss. BRIGHT PINK. Two more walls to go (but only small ones) but will have to wait for more things to leave first. Hopefully we’ll be moving everything (the big things) up this coming weekend, when I have some muscle to help me out.

I picked up my mother’s chest infection. I guess that’s what you get when someone accidentally drinks your tea and doesn’t tell you, leaving you to continue drinking from it even though said person is riddled with germs that I easily pick up with my crappy immune system.

I’m getting an injection tomorrow night and I can’t tell you how much I’m thrilled about it. I’m not telling you what for though… *glares* I am frustrated that my cousin moved his Tattoo Studio further away, though. Means I have longer to travel to reach home before I pass out from any further tattoos.

I also got this neat painting through the post this morning that I won on eBay. Pink/purple canvas with a huge white SPACE INVADER on it. The only problem now is that, thanks to Royal Mail, there’s a rip in the canvas near the middle… so it’s pretty obvious it’s there. I can’t get a replacement since it’s a one-off, so I’m hoping we can fix it Blue Peter style with some sticky-back plastic and pvc glue. If anyone has repaired holes in canvas’ before, let me know…

Seeing as canvas is cloth I’d be careful with the glue, if it gets drawn in it could totally fuck up the front.

Ah it’s ok, I was just kidding :) Sticky-back plastic and pvc glue was what the presenters on Blue Peter always used to make things.

Going to be a bit more complicated than that… and it will involve me trying to find a similar colour paint…

Bright Pink and White? Gorgeous. It could work if add squares and circles all about the room. But it would definately give you a headache. Maybe splash some brown in?

    Late reply…

Yep it’s pink and white and I’m going to try and throw in some pale colours too like blues and greens. The carpet is a pale brown so I guess it makes it look not too bad… The curtains I have up now for the clothing area are white/cream but I’m not sure what colour curtains to go for on the window yet (on a white wall).
