So I thought I’d do something crazy and just go off and vent some of my thoughts. Not sure why I’d do that kinda crazy stuff, especially on the Internet, where any crazy person can read it.

I dunno if anybody’s noticed, but X has Gravatar all hooked into the system with his frontpage blog, and if you check the comments, say on Casshern, you’ll see my current Gravatar, the cat from Azumanga Daioh. However, what I did want it to be was my name, which is currently featured as my avatar in the forums, which I took great pains to muster the patience necessary to scan in at school, where the scanner works. I tried a setup involving these binoculars I had when I was a kid, the kind that’s kinda like a block, but it’s got a round disc at the end, and two big magnifying lenses fold out of it, which have a mirror on one side, and a compass on the other, and smaller lenses that fold out of the base.

so yeah, it can be a magnifying glass, or look through the small lenses at the big lenses to make binocs. I had it set up in double big magnifying lenses next to each other mode, and then this set up with 2 of them, so a total of 4 lenses pointed at a paper under a lamp where I had my name stamped, and I tried taking a digital picture. It didn’t work.

Back to the point, I tried to re-submit it to Gravatar, but then inexplicably, they cancelled it. Like, there’s no sign that I ever tried to get it approved. This confuses me, depresses me, it’s really upsetting. Or just nagging actually, basically that’s all, but maybe if it changed, just mention it to me.

EDIT: soooo, interesting interesting, I decided to do some followup checking. So with Gravatar, when you upload a new Gravatar, it also pops out a new URL. so the new URL works, the image though, doesn’t seem to update it. Maybe my name is NC17? o_O
