And if they don’t dance…

I used to think the cartoons I watched as a kid were retarded. No, maybe I should rephrase that, I got caught up in the whole modern cartoons teach kids vibe thing, with Dora the Explorer teaching spanish and blah internationalizing (globalizing?) and you learn stuff. This clearly isn’t a very well thought out position of mine. Anyways, so I get linked to of all things, an old Animaniacs video. I never realized when I watched it that they taught Shakespeare, hell I still remember my HS english class going over this part of the play. Except without Wakko digging up ICBMs and uh…Michael Jackson? But I guess compared to a show like Pinky and the Brain, you’ve got kind of an exception. But that’s being unfair to Pinky and the Brain, because well, you’ve got cartoons like this gem of genius(I apologize for all the Nickelodeon branding…they’re like TV Nazis or something, wtf). I feel boring now -_-”
Plus, Wakko and Pinky sound …British? :X (So take that Dora)

Yay for Pinky and the Brain, I loved that cartoon.
Can’t really agree with the rest what with me being a lot older, I watched most of my cartoons in the 80’s.

Pinky and the Brain! Aaah! I used to love that.
I always thought the teaching kids thing never worked that well if the kids weren’t even interested because it wasn’t entertaining =P Then again when I was a kid I used to watch things like “How 2″ (It might have just been “How”) which dealed with bits and bobs of random and generally useless information.
