Our main mission today was checking out whereabouts in Maastricht the faculty for Arts & Culture was seeing as Katelynd’s probably going to start there in September.
Our sidemissions included eating icecream and enjoying the sunny day.

Johnny dropping by
Here’s some pics from Johnny’s visit last week and our visit to the local zoo at Gaia Park.
He came down from Amsterdam on his vacation trip to meet and have some fun.
Thanks for the pancakes. :)
Kasteelpark Born
We had a fun day out at Kasteelpark Born. Lots of animals and lots of playthings for the kids and we’re definitely going back there in spring or summer to see what it looks like all green.
Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht
Interesting to see some of the old masters at the Bonnefantenmuseum, the modern art section was a bit of a let down by comparison.
Winterland Maastricht
Some pictures from last Saturday when we ended up in Maastricht where het Vrijthof, the old city center square, was turned into a so called Winterland.
Exposition ‘Alledaagse mensen bezoeken Heerlen’
Which translates to ‘Everyday people visit Heerlen’.
I love this exposition by Christel Lechner, the statues work well in the city environment and it’s great to see people have fun with them, walk up to them and take pictures with them.
