Siriously?

This should get filed under ‘only in America’, or ‘everyone can have a doctor title these days’, but here’s an article by a Dr. Keith Ablow who claims Siri is harmful for kids. It’s funny and sad to read at the same time.

I have laughed at Siri. I have gotten angry with Siri and called her names.

He obviously has issues. Maybe mister psychiatrist should go see a psychiatrist?

That’s why I told Siri just now, “Siri, I hate you.” She seemed irritated. She said, “Noted.” But she’ll still give me directions and send my emails. So, it doesn’t really matter that I told her that. That’s the point.

Seriously dude… get help.

Hello Kitty?

Hello Kitty is big here in the Netherlands. You can walk into any random store and there’s a big chance there’ll at least be some products with Hello Kitty on it. Sanrio seems to hand out licenses to use the character to anyone for anything. Good for them, they must be loaded. But just maybe they should do a little quality control every now and again. When we went into C&A last week to look for some clothes for the kids we saw a whole line of clothing using the above image. Now I don’t know about you, but to me it looks like Hello Kitty giving the finger. Which is funny, but not too appropriate for toddler clothing.

Autumn leaves


These things are found in just about every street around here, containers for people to throw leaves in. Must be a new budget cut. Given the fact that we have the most trees of any city in the Netherlands the pavements are swamped with leaves. In previous years these would be cleared by the city. Apparently it’s now DIY time.

Wtf cigarettes


So my wife bought these cigarettes today. Very weird shit. They have a logo on the filter which is a ripoff of the Apple power button. But it gets weirder as the logo is there for a reason.
If you hold the filter and press down hard on the power logo something snaps inside which turns the regular cig into a mint cigarette.
What will they think of next…

I like draft posts

I like draft posts so much I’m using my own plugin to give me an overview of all of them on the WordPress dashboard seeing as the default view only shows the 5 most recent ones.
My pile of draft posts seems to be getting bigger. It’s just nice to be able to draft an idea, do a little searching, add some links, sit on it for a while, formulate a paragraph here and there, and take your sweet time before getting it to the state where you like to hit publish. For some posts anyway, others (like this one) are obviously just fire and forget.

Work in progress... not home!
Trying to get all/most of the new code working before I start on the eyecandy.
