So I wrote an entire entry about how XGL is yummy and how my previous attempts failed until I came across BOK’s blog who tried the exact same distros until he was successful with Kororaa. But then WordPress decided to bitch about the fact that I wasn’t using the comp I normally post from and it ate my entire entry. Lovely. So just grab the Kororaa LiveCD if you have an NVidia gfx card, burn it, reboot, and drool.
In other news; my contract expires in 3 weeks. Funness ensues.

Apparently they’re getting a bit hammered at the moment due to waves of people signing up and giving it a whirl but I’ll definitely try this out this week.
I’m not so much interested in the service they offer because I don’t like all these webservices that much. If it does run well however I’m interested in the tech behind it to set something like this up for myself. They’re using NX, which I’ve heard a lot about but haven’t had time to play with myself. It could be very cool to be able to have your own desktop, programs and files anywhere you go, I’m not sure how the way they’ve implemented it differs from similar solutions that are already available (and free).
Time for a testdrive…
