Joshikōsei Girl’s High, think of it as an ecchi version of Azumanga and you’re not far off. Very funny, but weird.
Please Teacher:
Mai Hime:
So that’s some stuff we have been/are watching the past week, next to the obligatory Ghibli movies.
We need some more recommendations for funny anime along these lines.

Mar 10, 2008, 14:02Girl’s High/High School Girls: made me feel rather perverted. SOMEONE tried to nicely smooth it over by saying it was a children’s program. Boggle eyed me wondered how their culture excepted graphic sexual innuendos as child’s humour.
Funny, yeah. For children, I think not. -_- I liked it though xD
Please Teacher: Marrying your hot older teacher when you’re only 18 but look like 12. Every boy’s dream come true. Especially when she’s an alien.
Oh the drama.
Finally, Mai-Hime: ftw! The summoning of the Himes rather reminded me of the repetitive calling upon Final Fantasy’s Aeons/Guardian Forces. As well as it’s annoying(ness) when you’ve seen that same exact summon for the 43rd time. -_- That aside, Mai-Hime has been my favourite thus far and my absolute favourite character was Fujino. *needs her plushie*

Mar 10, 2008, 15:30Methinks I will check them out. :]
I recently watched a series called Lucky Star…I like it, but it is sort of repetitive. It doesn’t really have a plot. I have seen it, too, likened to Azumanga Daioh. Well, the opening is cute..x3
Phix had me watch some of a series called AirGear…idk, lots of people on like rocket powered rollerskates that can fly. Or something. And fighting, of course. And seemingly-promiscuous and attractive scantly-clad girls. He seemed pretty amused by it, and from what he said, I should watch more. x3…

Mar 10, 2008, 17:16@ Helixy: I have problems with watching the first episode of each anime (the only anime I didn’t have trouble like that with was Elfen Lied.. that was just fooking awesome) because the oddities of each of them. Almost all comedies are cute and sometimes they make you go O.O but after a while you just really get into them, even if the concept is a little disturbing at times.
(i.e. A boy that looks no older than 12 married to his smoking hot alien teacher)
