World of WarCraft
Written on Jun 16, 2007 // Games.
I guess it was inevitable… some day, for some reason, I wouldn’t be able to escape it any longer. This day has come.
Seeing as at work we always make fun of our interns for playing World of WarCraft (it’s all about levelling, there’s no story, that’s no real rpg) one of them (Mr. Teapot on the forum) decided to be a smartass and gave us 14 day trial versions as a parting gift at the end of his internship. So next week or the one after that I’ll have to install it and give it a try.
But I will not give in to the dark side.

Jun 16, 2007, 17:19Haha, have fun with that.
I’m sadly still playing myself but I find it makes a nice change from playing FFXI which takes up a lot more time and effort - WoW is pretty simple to play and understand (and I find the majority of people that play it are the same…) But yeah, enjoy. You never know, you might like it.

That I never expected. You of all people :P
Well, Croga says to make sure to tell you on which server we are walking around. But I guess you will be playing on the same server the interns are walking around :) If not, let us know ;)
Oh yeah, and have fun! That’s after all the main goal when playing :)

Jun 16, 2007, 12:21I’m not gonna say I told you so….
But I did tell you so :P
I think, though, that we can do better then the 14 day trial. I still have an account or 2 lying around unused. You could “trial” on one of those and then you wouldn’t have to start over when I give you that account :)
Just give me a call/email/wudevah when you think you got time to start playing and I’ll fix you up with one of my servants :)

Jun 16, 2007, 15:00Another problem would be time, an acceptable reliable party, your interest in the/such realm and items.
Especially if getting some stuff would be such a big grinding mind bore or “unrealistic” terms to acquire (for collectionists/perfectionists/whatever), one would not freaking bother and invest their time and money.
Sociability will only go as far as the amount of time poured into it and is hardly ever really worth much. Well, one could be lucky/luckier with people, I guess.

I think you can also get free WoW trials on gamespy or something. The give you a code and you can download it instantly.
only downside, you cannot accept items or gold from other players.
