Faderhead – FH3

Bought this last week directly from Faderhead’s website, a bargain at 5.99 euros for a download of the whole album with a pdf of the cover. Excellent value for money and no DRM crap. Now if only someone explained ID3 tags to whomever prepared the files.
As for the album itself, it’s been on play in my car eversince, which given the fact that I drive 2-3 hours a day is a good sign. Short review: Hell yeah, buy it.

The tracklist:
1. Electrosluts Extraordinaire
2. Acquire The Fire
3. Still Missing
4. Another Dead Boy
5. Let Me Go
6. Fuck What You Heard
7. Hammer of the Gods
8. TZDV
9. Here With You
10. Zigzag Machinery
11. Mr. Fetus
I’m missing ‘Exit Ghost’ here which was available to anyone who signed up for the mailing list, I think it was album quality.
For me it could have replaced ‘Mr. Fetus’ or ‘Another Dead Boy’, which aren’t really my thing, but hey, I’m sure someone else enjoys them. ‘Fuck what you heard’ would probably be my favourite thusfar, closely followed by… well actually by the rest of the album. In a nutshell, if you liked FH1 and/or FH2 you’ll love FH3 which seems more of a blend of the previous ones.
But… in my opinion FH1 still reigns supreme.
Now go get it.

One Response to Faderhead – FH3

  1. I love his sound but I do have to say… if you’re going to write about doping/shooting up and casual kinky sex that’s great and fine but don’t make a ‘mature / moral’ stance because it doesn’t follow suit to the rest. More specifically about ‘What to do with this parasitic fetus since you’re only making minimum wage and wasting most of it on clubbing? Fill in the blank’

I have only listened to the third album a couple of times and then stopped because I thought – though I am 21 and I should be doing what all 21 year olds here in the Neths are doing – this isn’t me. Again, I love the sound but most of the lyrics don’t fit my description. Immature people annoy the hell out of me but trying to act grown up about it in the end is even more so. I also think it’s something baby ears shouldn’t be listening to *shrugs* Not that I just figured this out. It’s more like me keeping the volume at a minimum while my daughter was in the same room. If I don’t want her to listen to it it’s best I don’t at all.

Work in progress... not home!
Trying to get all/most of the new code working before I start on the eyecandy.
