Last.fm frees the music

As of today, you can play full-length tracks and entire albums for free on the Last.fm website (in the US, UK & Germany reads the small print, but still). Quite a big move, and good news for music lovers everywhere.

    Not an overly impressive website. Its a bit slow to stream and sometimes crashes in the process.

    Its significant for the music industry though. It just goes to show that people are no longer willing to pay for music, and the industry has to adapt and figure out ways of generating revenue other than CD sales… It looks like we will see more of this kind of thing.
