Street Fighter IV

Street Fighter IV Ryu screenshot
Gorgeous drawing, right?
Wrong.

It’s part of the first ever screenshot of Street Fighter IV in action. Yep, it’s an ingame shot. And it’s 2D gameplay.
Go here to see the full thing and read all about it. *phew* I’m relieved, and happy, it looks brilliant AND it’s not in 3D.

  1. I was trying so hard to get here with the link. You beat me to it. I know it is kind of dorky, but one of my main concerns (outside of the gameplay) is how the story for this game will connect with SFIII’s, if at all.

    Also….. Bring back Dudley.

  2. Really looking forward to this game, and the screen shot is just pure 150% eye candy to me, Nice to see Dhalsim is making a comeback, he’s been a bit of a recluse with the recent games.

  3. hhehehe…he’s got some funny looking bulges in his pants *giggle*

  4. LOL I don’t care much for this game but I have to react on Saint’s comment :D
You are right, I did not notice the bulge in his pants until I read your comment.
I did once play the first version of streetfighter long, long time ago though :) (was it on the very first nintendo? I don’t remember)
But I have to agree, it’s looks great :)

  5. Looks really good.

Henchman: “If you want your kid back, then you better cooperate. Right?”

    John Matrix (Arnold): “Wrong!”

  6. Speaking of Street Fighter, X, did you ever get the chance to try out the Alpha Anthology? It had all of the Alpha games in it, inculding a remix of Alpha 2 and Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix. I thought I’d ask since you said a few times you liked the Alpha series.

  7. Nope, that’s still on the list. And yeah, in my opinion Alpha 3 is the absolute best Street Fighter game ever made. They should have scratched Street Fighter III and made another Alpha instead.

  8. I liked Alpha 2 a little more because of the presentation, and the individual stages for each character. One thing though, Alpha 3 in the Anthology doesn’t have the World Tour mode, and like the arcade version, if you lose to Bison at the end, the game gives you a bad ending.

If you get the chance while you are here in the US, you could probably find it for pretty cheap.

Trying to get all/most of the new code working before I start on the eyecandy.
