Final Fantasy 9 - You're Not Alone Composer: Nobuo Uematsu Tabbed by: Goosey (thegooseking@hotmail.com) for Final Fantasy Music Online (www.ffmusiconline.com) Time Signature: 4/4 This is the music played when Zidane is in Pandemonium and nearly forgets who he is, but his friends come to his assistance. There's quite a lot to this song, especially on the organ (which can be played on a rhythm guitar either strummed steadily or following the percussion's rhythm). Chords that I have denoted with a * after the fret diagrams (i.e. the major and minor 3rds) can be replaced with the appropriate chords I have denoted with a * before the chord name (e.g. Cmaj3 could be replaced with C) for ease of playing, although I believe the use of major and minor 3rds is the correct way the song is played. PLAYING INSTRUCTIONS: The intro is played on a rhythm guitar or an organ. Each chord is played for a whole bar. The first section should be played once through muting the strings by releasing the fretting pressure just after they are picked, and then again without the muting. It should be played one octave up from what is tabbed (i.e. the fret number + 12). I have tabbed it an octave too low for ease of formatting. The second section should be played through twice with an overdriven guitar. It should be played on the octave shown in the tab. The second time around the melody is copied an octave lower on an organ (I think it's meant to be a choir).
