Every day after I finish work, I feel, "I'm glad that I was able to join this project". I of course have the feeling that "I did all that I could", but I think the joy of trusting the staff members around me is greater. Humans can't do much on their own, can they? There are many other people who worked, other than me, to get my name credited with Nobuo Uematsu. The bigger the project, the more people involved, which means the more circular the way we work, and the harder to work.
There is absolutely no way to achieve a goal unless the staff members at least have respect and trust in each other. The joy of achieving that goal with and for the staff members is not something that you can buy with money. The pain of business can come from too much work, or too little skill, and human relations, which I'm not good at, can be problematic. There is happiness in having these problems, and overcoming them. Allow me to say "Good job" to everyone who helped with FFIX. I'm overwhelmed by how hard everyone has worked. I wouldn't want to have them as enemies.
