 Final Fantasy X: Feel/Go Dream

 Written by Moose58

I would have to say that the album made was overall pretty good. Even though it only had six songs on it (three, since they repeat in instrumental) was enough to satisfy my needs. Each song doesn't appear in the game, but you will notice that the songs are based on some of the other songs in the game.

"Feel", sung by Mayuko Aoki, was very classy. It's really just an advanced singing part from the "Hymn of the Faith". The background is a more jazz like sound. The piano plays swift one-noters, and the strings in the background add a nice feel to it. I would only say that there was too much bass in the background. The bass really drowned out the sound, making you want to turn down the music.

"Go Dream" was sung by Massakazu Morita in our modern rock n' roll version. You would only expect that the electric guitar would lead, but instead you have it repeating. When you hear the instrumental version of the song, you realize that it basically just keeps repeating itself. You'll remember the song if you played the game because it was a playoff of the blitzball theme. I especially like the part when the soft guitar comes in for a short time, but then was taken over by the electric one. If you love rock n' roll, you'll love this song.

The last song on the list is sung by Aoki and Morita as a duet. The song "Endless Love, Endless Road" was a very great song that I think they could've added into the game itself. The song has a balance of guitar and bass that is very subtle. The two singers kind of play off each other until the final part when they start to sing together. The two voices really blend, but you can still hear the individuality of each of their voices.

I think this is one of the best albums of vocal music I've ever heard. This takes all of Final Fantasy X's great vocal music and combines them into one making a spectacular CD. The CD has few songs, but they have so much talent packed into them. Even though there may be some minor instrumental problems, the vocal parts surpass all of that and make a great tie into the modern world of today. Everyone will love this album because it offers different styles of music that we all have enjoyed at one point or another. I give hats off to Mayuko Aoki, Massakazu Morita, Nobou Uematsu, and all the people at Squaresoft for giving us more than just a game, but a piece of art.
