ok, scratch the life is good remark, I knew I shouldn’t have said that out loud.
3000,- euro worth of car repairs in a week means I’m shit out of luck (and money) for the rest of the year… again.

    was spending 3k on a car worth the repairs…?

    Well, the transmission caved, that amounts for 2/3 of the costs.
    As for worth it… yes and no. The rest of the car is good *knocks on wood* plus the alternative would be to buy some other cheap oldie, which in turn could have its own issues. So all in all this was the best choice (I hope).
