Diddy Kong Racing DS

The alternative kart racer on the DS. It’s not Mario Kart, but it doesn’t have to be. I’ve read a lot of bad reviews about it but I think most are missing the point. It’s a kiddy game, and a damn fun one at that. Yes it can be annoying to play the same tracks over and over but with different missions (first race, then pop balloons, then god knows what), but it does add a lot of playing time and you definitely want to do it because playing the adventure mode you unlock a wealth of extras with a lot of extra game modes, tracks, and even a full blown track editor. As a multiplayer game, the reason I bought it, the single card download play mode beats the crap out of Mario Kart where the guest player doesn’t get to choose who to play as and where there are only a few tracks available. Here it’s the works, which rocks.
