It’s not allowed here to use the phone in the car.
It is allowed here to use a gps system in the car.
So… my new phone (thanks Croga) has gps, is it allowed to use it or not?

  1. if i’m not wrong you are allowd to use the phone in the car but with a car kit or with hands free so don’t worry be happy

  2. So, how do you like your new phone? :)
And yeah, as RottenKid is saying, use it in a carkit or handsfree and you’ll be fine ;)

  3. I know, but that wasn’t the point. The point was legislation having a hard time keeping up with technological advances.
And the phone’s great in terms of higher resolution than my old one, and the gps kicks butt. The only thing it lacks is a keyboard for proper typing.

  4. I see, I missed your point earlier, but I have to agree. They are making it real hard for themselves in terms of to determine if you are stepping over that line or not.

If you really miss that keyboard, I could check with Croga if he still has some of those HTC 9100 phones laying around. It’s the predecessor of the HTC Tytn II. It only has no build-in gps, but I have one of those laying around ;) So, think about it and let me know :)

  5. ^ btw, there seems to be something wrong with the datestamp in the comments, cause I’m pretty sure it’s november 15th today ;) Timestamp seems to be accurate though :D

  6. Thanks for spotting that, fixed it now.
And I’ll stick with the Navigator, I like the built in gps.

Trying to get all/most of the new code working before I start on the eyecandy.
