Exploding cola bottle
Useless fact of the day; if, like me, you slash open the plastic wrapper on a sixpack of cola bottles with a knife; be careful where you slash.
This time I accidentally hit one of the bottles and the result was quite literally an explosion. A loud bang and cola flying everywhere.

Two stories from a while back: We had a pan with a pressure valve on it my mum was doing turnip in for a Sunday dinner. There’s suddenly a loud “hisssss!” and we all go running to the kitchen, and the dog comes running out, covered in half cooked turnip. Said half cooked turnip was also all over the ceiling, walls, etc where it had fountained out of the exploded seal on the pressure valve.
Our dog likes to play with those plastic lids you get on hair spray cans after you’ve finished with it, and one day decided that she’d chomp into one that was still attached to the can. The result is as expected for any pressurised can, but more amusing is that my mum thought it might explode so she picked it up, ran with it at arms length to the back door, and threw it into our neighbor’s garden.
Did you buy the cola and the ice tea next to it in Lidl? The Lidl-supermarket around the corner of my flat at least sells the same brands ^^
