Japanese highway interchange
Written on Aug 07, 2008 // Photography, Random.
Here is a gorgeous set of photos by Ken Ohyama of lots of Japanese highway interchanges. Bizarre architecture, fabulous lighting, I love it. Be sure to check out the links under the pics, they link to the respective google map location in satellite mode.

Aug 13 2008, 10:00Exposure time. Which is the length of time light is allowed to fall on the sensor. In the evenings you need a longer exposure time already because it’s dark, so you want to capture as much light as possible. The neat effect you’re referring to where you can see trails of light is therefor a simple matter of plonking your camera on a tripod so it can remain perfectly still and then setting the exposure time for an x amount of seconds, therefor capturing the light of the car as it moves by the camera, creating a trail.
