Identity crisis
No, not me. The site. Over the years there’s been so much added ad hoc that I think now that the community side of things has gone rather stale the rest of the site’s left hanging in mid-air. We have an anime/manga section that hasn’t seen much in the way of updates, Final Fantasy Music Online… r.i.p, gallery is hybernating, the blogs are only used by a handful of people and everyone else seems to have left the building.
It’s nice to see at least some of you check it out every now and again, but what for?
I’d LOVE to know, because it’ll give me at least some sense of direction where I can focus my efforts to try and bring ye olde dog back to its former glory.

o_o; Well for me i check the front page for anything new.. Then go over to the forums and see if theres any thing i can add my two cents too, usually i can’t or i don’t have any thing in responce due to lack of knowledge on a subject and not wanting to feel dumb :x.. The gallery has nothing new, so i just hop over the the blogs and check up on a few.
Im thinking of revamping Itsuka-wa into another site.. Since forums seem to be dieing art nowadays. T^T;
To me it’s an important part of me (past) and people that I still know and have in contact with.
I guess, it’s content is the same as my wavering interest and maybe perhaps time…
Ofcourse basicly, I think, all that people want is their free stuff or info, pictures, etc and move on.
I have gotten more into bloggingness over here, it’s better management, free, no enforced adds, grand customness and (interesting) people (with growing grand skillz) working on it (~oo)~
All we need is to reach many many fun and interesting people, right? D:
Hmmm, a fitting community.
Lately I only check the frontpage. Just to see what’s up.
Yep, shameful but true.
If I have some more time on my hands I usually jump to the gallery and after that (maybe) the forums.
I don’t read any blogs though (‘cept yours).
I browse the blogs…post to mine less.
I miss the recent forum topics the most though, since I could see what the most recent posts were quick and easy.
Where did i come across this before?… hmmm weird….
Aww… I’ve come back.
The others just think they’re too cool for this site now. Bunch of numb nuts. But really, we’re the cool ones. XD
^ thanks, and I agree. *poses*
Robbie: hehe, deja-vu?
Saint: ehm, what’s the point? Check the forum. I’m not ‘wasting’ space on the frontpage to show that the forum is stagnant, at least not like I’ve had it displayed on here before. Maybe if we get back to a couple of dozen posts a day.
Corvo: C’est la vie. That seems to be the general consensus with most people who’ve stopped.
CommSie: merci, and as always of course similar ponderings as me. Let’s hope some more people sign up for blogs and actually use them.
Kaos: Hmm, maybe we should try some more lighthearted topics, some quizzes or random stuff to see if that will drag people out into the open?
I must say the way people seem to check the frontpage and read my randomness amuses me, especially because I’ll never know what gets the most interesting comments.
I still browse the forums. That is really all I have ever done since I have come here. I try to contribute when I have something to say. It is just so peaceful here. It is kind like AO was back in ’02-’03. I still post reviews from time to time. KOF 2006′s review really exausted me for some reason though.
What happened to the news updates from Gamepro? When I got my connection back, I wondered where it went?
Everyone is probably busy with their Myspace accounts…….

Ewwww, Myspace.
I browse the forums and your blog everyday. Sometimes I’ll throw up a response but not as often as I should. I normally don’t respond to Blogs but I’d hate to see X111 die. I’ll post some reviews up soon.
if it were my website, i’d think of x111.com as a playground to try new things. Now, i’m not the most innovative person around, but for me it may be fun to play with a new theme, try some new effects. maybe plop this nifty sounding script in, ect ect. Do as you see fit, it’s yours. Throwing it out, however, would seem like a waste.
for me? I don’t watch anime anymore, i barely can keep up with two shows airing everyweek on TV. The only thing that keeps me here is a) it’s a distraction b) post something lame here or there c) poke fun at Saint’s blog d) a resource for computers and web stuff
I’m not throwing it out, and I have been playing around with new things over the years, so that will continue like it always has. It’s just a matter of resorting some of the less popular bits and shifting the focus.
At the moment I’m toying with the idea of adding a Digg like section, seeing as a lot of us now use the forum to drop links and newsbits anyway. But that’s why it’s important to hear what you all like and what you enjoy around here.
Don’t worry origin, it’s not dying any time soon.
Plumbum: no idea, one day it just stopped working and I haven’t been able to get it back in working order. I’m guessing Gamepro changed things or quit the service.
Well, I haven’t been around. I admit, but just like Corvo and a lot of other people, I do check the front page a lot and read X’s randomness. Sorry guys. As Slugman said though, you should use this place as an experimental place. It’d be neat to try different things. Eh, that’s my two cents worth.
I only come around to steal all your ideas!
Theif~! D:
*Counter-steals¿*
Every seems to have less and less time, I suppose.
Other priorities and obligations.
I still follow some anime, I’m glad their subbingrate isn’t too fast. Now if only one has the time to do screenshots, resize and scribble a coherent large review? Maybe a small small episodic blog review would be better…
Personally X, I love this site.
It’s an integral part of my past and maturity, from back when I was a freshman in high school (only 4 years ago) to now. It’s been a great place to turn to for help and direction in life. At times I’ve been confused, but when I come here and see how hectic and confused and happy everyone here is, it helps get over life and live on.
I too am starting a blog soon (actually ran into this on my way) and plan to actually use it this time. And I do talk a bit on the forums, but primarily on the Sanctum channel. Gallery is interesting, but I can’t appreciate it so I don’t look at it that much. Anime is way beyond me, since I just don’t have much interest or time to watch it.
But X, I’d say keep this site until it falls apart. You will always have some followers, because this is the last refuge of the old TriForce days and we are all secretly wishing for parts of the heydays back here. That’s why we all stay here (at least I do).
And you also have a cool name to boot, so that’s a plus.

I feel the same way as Kaos when it comes to the forum, not usually much I feel I can post on because of the topic and stuffs. Then again, I guess the question is, why don’t I make topics? Because I can never think of any that aren’t going to be just links or spam… and no one posts to them DX
Gallery~ I
Silly thing…
Post continued since it cut it off:
Gallery… I wub the gallery. A lot of people stopped hanging around and so the drawings and stuff stopped getting posted on the gallery. People should post more things! Drawings, graphics, mug shots! Get posting people! I personally know that I need to scan and post some drawings. And I guess a photo wont hurt too much either ;)
Blogs.. I had a blog before. Then I didn’t post on it. Then it got deleted. Then I didn’t sign up for a new one. I might, but I don’t really have a lot to say apart from really tedious boring things that most people wont care about. Oh wait, isn’t that what a blog is? D: Huh huh huh. I’ll wait until I get some projects done first then I guess I’ll sign up for a new shiny x111 blog ;)
I wub j00 all @ x111.com D:
Then again, I guess the question is, why don’t I make topics?
Yeah… why don’t you?
Because I can never think of any that aren’t going to be just links or spam… and no one posts to them DX
I READ POSTS AND… some spam. Depending on if you’re a bot or not. I post links!
Hardly spam..*ponder ponder* nope.
XIII loves you so post loads!
Ah bollocks. No italicising.
I think people like to harvest or do grinding work, where they get small insignificant rewards, which means lots to them D:
And ooh shiney, point system D:
Achievement, happiness (^oo^)
Or maybe things to complain or be shocked about D:
People don’t like letting go, easily.
Well those that have some attachment, that is (>o_o)
Tap into people’s obsessive behaviorrr and the little time and short attention span, some got.
Noooo, no reward system, i’ve tried that on my forums, but it only got people to bash each other for spamming, making senseless posts (which is about the same…)
It’s all about recent content, that’s where i fail to succeed…
It’s been so long since we had a “public hanging” D:
I don’t much like a point system either. I did at first with other forums that I went to. But I noticed it was abused if they were disliked. Even for every single comment they’d make, even if it was a valid and good one.
let’s hang CommS :D
This place sure bring me memories, some good and some bad. I really can´t be always on or always posting but I ALWAYS drop by at least once every week. I seem to have acquired a stupid complex of inferiority latelly and I just can´t see myself as equal to you guys or anyone as smart/clever/witty as you =P
I´m around, just not posting x.x
Boo for complex D: *Eyes girlfriend*
Nope not always, occasionally is semi good…
girlfriend what? …I’ve missed something, eh? Guess that’s what happens when you don’t talk to people in months…
Well, after I lost my computer, I had to leap into finals, so as you can see, I havent’ had a lot of time for weblife, personally. However, now that I am on break, I have lots of reviews to be finishing up…but no inspiration. Maybe that’s what we’ve all run out of?
I do pop back to see what’s new, but I have found that in ANY forum that I’m a member of be it here or AO or GF – I just really don’t have anything to say. Mayhaps mostly because I’m scared of snooty people lately and don’t want o deal w. them? heheh ^_^
CommS has a girlfriend? I dun think that’s what he means. I think he was referring to Kaito’s comment…
I miss you all. I miss the good o’le days. It’s a shame we couldn’t get a public hanging thingy together. That would be a blast! Course, I wouldn’t be able to do it unless it was in the U.S., unless we wait a couple years or something. Well, no more to say for now. o_o
